About Jon Ingham
Jon Ingham is a leading edge consultant and trainer in the area of strategic people management.
As a consultant, Jon works mainly with employers that already have sound approaches to people management and helps them extend their HR agendas to gain further improvements in the capabilities and engagement of their people, and the effectiveness of their organisations. Jon also works as a researcher, speaker, trainer and writer, focusing on two main areas: strategic human capital management / HCM (the management of people to accumulate human capital) and HR 2.0 (the management of people and the development of organisations to accumulate social capital – including through the use of web 2.0 / social media tools).
Jon has delivered a wide spectrum of development interventions and acts as the European training partner for the Human Capital Institute, delivering its Human Capital Strategist (HCS) and Master Human Capital Strategies (MHCS) programmes in Europe. He has also lectured in strategic management, change management and human resources on executive MBA courses in both West and East Europe. He also hosts a podcast show, Talking HR.
Jon has published over a dozen articles and is also the author of a book titled 'Strategic Human Capital Management: Creating Value through People' (2006). He also blogs regularly about HCM and HR 2.0.
Prior to Strategic Dynamics Jon worked as Director of Human Capital Consulting, Europe for Buck Consultants / ACS; Head of HR Consulting for Penna; HR Director for Ernst & Young(working firstly in the UK, and then, based in Moscow, covering the former USSR); and Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) as an IT then change management consultant.
Jon has a BA in Psychology, a Masters in Engineering and an MBA. He is a Certified Management Consultant, a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and its occupational psychology division, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA).
